Miner's Institute Theatre, Collinsville, IL (Design Phase)

The Miner's Institute Building was originally completed in 1918 by the local coal miner's union. Over the years the building has hosted community events and productions of every variety. This building is on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and is now operated by the Collinsville Area Recreation District. Contracted by the firm White & Borgognoni Architects, Bill Conner Associates has been involved for several years in the planning of a multi-phased renovation of the entire facility. Currently plans include upgrading of the seating and audience spaces, rigging replacement, theatre lighting controls upgrades and new house lighting.
eta Creative Arts Foundation Chicago, IL
eta Creative Arts Foundation was founded in 1971 and has become a cultural resource within the African-American community. eta provides training and performance opportunities for all ages in the performing and visual arts.
Bill Conner Associates LLC is working with architect William E. Brazley & Associates, LTD on the current expansion project which will include a 500-seat theatre with a mezzanine level as well as complete state-of-the art theatrical lighting and rigging systems.
Alley Theatre Renovation, Houston TX (Design Phase)
After years of successful productions in the 824-seat Patricia Peckinpaugh Hubbard Stage, the artistic staff felt the need for changes to improve the audience experience and technical capabilities of the space. For the renovation of the Alley Theatre, Bill Conner Associates LLC has been selected by Studio Red Architects to provide theatre consulting services including seating layout, backstage space coordination, dimming and control system design and rigging design.
